Job Description

GLC Government Services is seeking Radiologic Technologists to work a government contract at a Federal Correctional Facility in Bruceton Mills, WV , a medium-security institution housing adult female and male inmates.

Radiological Technicians Pay Rate:
$37.88/hour
Place of Performance:
Health Services Department at the United States Penitentiary (USP), the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), the Secure Female Facility (SFF), and the Satellite Prison Camp (SPC).
Schedule:
40 hours per week, either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (excluding Federal Holidays). Work hours will be scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break .
REQUIREMENTS
Completion of a full-time diagnostic radiologic technology program of at least 24 months (or equivalent), resulting in a certificate or associate degree from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or another accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE). Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Radiography (R) . Current radiologic technologist license in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC). Experience providing healthcare in a correctional setting preferred. Additional professional education and certifications are a plus. Ability to work with inmates from a variety of cultural, regional, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.
JOB DUTIES
Perform routine radiologic examinations on the inmate population as ordered by healthcare providers. Correctly position patients for radiographic procedures and determine appropriate radiation exposure levels. Operate standard radiographic equipment safely and efficiently. Perform all procedures while following standard infection control protocols. Assist with patient dismissal and ensure follow-up care instructions are understood. Maintain radiographic equipment and ensure proper functionality. Properly store and maintain adequate levels of radiology supplies in assigned work areas. Ensure instruments and unauthorized items are secured during non-patient care hours. Process and accurately document radiologic results in the patient's electronic medical record. Maintain physical copies of radiologic records as required. Perform and maintain all required procedures and documentation. Serve as a technical consultant to clinicians and provide training to mid-level practitioners and other clinical staff on radiographic procedures. Perform a wide array of clerical and administrative support duties, including the use of institution-specific computer systems such as SENTRY .
