$17.00-$18.00 per hour Activity CoordinatorJob Summary We are looking for a caring, energetic, and creative Activity Coordinator to join our senior living community. In this role, you will plan and lead engaging activities that promote social interaction, physical wellness, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being for our residents. You will help create a warm and enjoyable environment by organizing meaningful programs that encourage participation and enhance each resident's quality of life. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead daily and weekly recreational activities for residents. Coordinate group events, games, arts and crafts, music, exercise, holiday celebrations, and community outings. Develop activities that accommodate residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities, including those with dementia or memory care needs. Encourage resident participation while promoting independence, confidence, and social engagement. Work closely with caregivers and nursing staff to ensure activities are appropriate for each resident's care plan. Assist residents during activities as needed to ensure comfort and safety. Maintain the monthly activity calendar and communicate upcoming events with residents and staff. Track attendance, document activity participation, and gather resident feedback to improve future programs. Help decorate the community for holidays, birthdays, and special events. Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and staff. Qualifications Previous experience working in an assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or senior living community is preferred. Experience planning activities, events, or recreational programs is a plus. Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative, organized, dependable, and able to multitask. Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing exceptional resident experiences. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent required.
