Northglenn Arts Cultural Programs Coordinator

Northglenn Arts is the cultural services division of the City of Northglenn, which strives to provide affordable access to the arts in north Denver by presenting quality live productions through Northglenn Arts Presents and Northglenn Youth Theatre, offering outdoor summer concerts and movies, drama classes for youth through NYT Academy, art & dance classes, public art through Northglenn's Art on Parade and other commissions, and special events throughout the year. The majority of programs take place at the 335 seat state-of-the-art Parsons Theatre. The Cultural Programs Coordinator is an integral part of the Northglenn Arts team, who is responsible for coordinating, managing and assessing educational cultural programs (Northglenn Youth Theatre, NYT Academy, Daddy Daughter Ball, Teddy Bear Picnic and all classes/camps/workshops offered through the division). As part of the City of Northglenn, the Coordinator is also responsible for collaborating with the Active Recreation team and the Recreation Center's operations team. , NYT Academy, Missoula Children's Theatre, and camp performances, the Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Ball, Teddy Bear Picnic, etc. Function as a program lead and main point of contact for both internal partners and the public When the program is an event, function as the event manager for the day-of details Coordinate contractors and collaborate with internal teams to ensure programs and events are appropriately managed, staffed and supported Support communication with participants and contractors (teaching artists, designers, etc.) Support the development and implementation of program curriculum, utilizing the expertise of staff and teaching artists Develop and maintain cultural program policies and procedures, and implement training systems to ensure staff and contractor alignment Lead the preparation and execution of programmatic community-building activities for youth programs, including awards ceremonies, cast parties, parent meetings, and other functions like Noon-year's Bowling Bash Manage and coordinate all camps and classes for NYT Academy, including maintaining accurate online registration (currently through the RecTrac program) for all classes and camps Coordinate teaching artists for any and all classes, arrange supplies & materials and provide assessments for all classes and camps offered through the division, including adult-focused classes Assist with all in-house productions within the division, with a focus on NYT productions Support creative teams in the audition, casting and production processes Collaborate with creative teams to deliver high-quality productions for NYT and NYT Jr. programming that are professionally produced, clearly visioned, and impactful theatrical experiences that fulfill educational objectives Collaborate with Supervisor and the Technical team to ensure all needs of productions and camp productions are fulfilled Support marketing, outreach and recruitment efforts for all youth

• and family-focused cultural programs Assist Supervisor in recruiting, contracting and managing contractors for divisional programs Assist in the planning process for all divisional programs, and support the Supervisor with the implementation of other program offerings provided through the department Develop and evaluate outreach efforts with local schools to support both in-school programming and attendance at in-house productions Maintain the costume shop: creating a system for contractors to engage the shop in an organized fashion and keeping the shop clean and available for use for all shows Maintain and disseminate accurate tracking data and reports for all programs and events for which they serve as the program lead Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external patrons and partners Represent the City of Northglenn in a positive manner Maintain and utilize a city purchasing card for purchases, following all prevailing policies and practices of the City of Northglenn Other duties as assigned Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts, Theatre Education, Arts Education or related field.

A special theatrical focus like choreography, music direction or directing is a plus A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a fast-paced theatre program that includes youth theatre. Knowledge of and/or interest in the performing arts is a priority Excellent interpersonal communication skills High attention to detail and superior organizational skills Work well as part of a team and individually Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible Working knowledge of office equipment (computer, copy machines, etc.) Proficiency in following: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Teams, AudienceView Professional, RecTrac 3.1, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Sheets and Google Forms. Valid driver's license and good motor vehicle record; ability to drive City vehicle Must maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certifications Position may require individual to possess necessary certification within a specified time limit in the area of assignment. Background check and drug screen required. Regular evening and weekend work with extended hours is required; work on holidays may be required. Attendance is an essential function of the job.
