Job Description
Northglenn Arts is the cultural services division of the City of Northglenn, which strives to provide affordable access to the arts in north Denver by presenting quality live productions through Northglenn Arts Presents and Northglenn Youth Theatre, offering outdoor summer concerts and movies, drama classes for youth through NYT Academy, art & dance classes, public art through Northglenn's Art on Parade and other commissions, and special events throughout the year. The majority of programs take place at the 335 seat state-of-the-art Parsons Theatre. The Cultural Programs Coordinator is an integral part of the Northglenn Arts team, who is responsible for coordinating, managing and assessing educational cultural programs (Northglenn Youth Theatre, NYT Academy, Daddy Daughter Ball, Teddy Bear Picnic and all classes/camps/workshops offered through the division). As part of the City of Northglenn, the Coordinator is also responsible for collaborating with the Active Recreation team and the Recreation Center's operations team. The Coordinator must have a strong background in supporting family
- and youth-focused theatrical and arts programs, superb organization and communication skills (including contractor management), excellent customer service, and a background in project management in order to meet the needs of the divisions' programs. - and family-focused cultural programs Assist Supervisor in recruiting, contracting and managing contractors for divisional programs Assist in the planning process for all divisional programs, and support the Supervisor with the implementation of other program offerings provided through the department Develop and evaluate outreach efforts with local schools to support both in-school programming and attendance at in-house productions Maintain the costume shop: creating a system for contractors to engage the shop in an organized fashion and keeping the shop clean and available for use for all shows Maintain and disseminate accurate tracking data and reports for all programs and events for which they serve as the program lead Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external patrons and partners Represent the City of Northglenn in a positive manner Maintain and utilize a city purchasing card for purchases, following all prevailing policies and practices of the City of Northglenn Other duties as assigned Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts, Theatre Education, Arts Education or related field.
Hiring Range:
$60,823- $72,988/yr.
DOQ Full Salary Range:
