In this rewarding role, you will plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to the interests and needs of seniors, including those with memory care requirements. Your positive energy will foster a lively community atmosphere, promote social interaction, and enhance the overall well-being of our residents. This position offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors while working in a supportive and dynamic environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging activity programs that cater to participants interests, abilities, and care needs, including specialized programs for memory care and dementia patients Coordinate events, outings, and recreational therapies to promote socialization and mental stimulation Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility, dressing, and personal hygiene when needed Build strong rapport with participants by providing compassionate support and encouraging participation in activities Collaborate with team members, caregivers, and family members to tailor activities that support individual care plans Maintain accurate records of resident participation, progress notes, and activity logs to monitor engagement levels and outcomes Skills Proven experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior activities coordination within assisted living or nursing home settings Strong understanding of geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with seniors, team members, families, and healthcare professionals Ability to develop innovative programs that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical activity for seniors Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in a long-term care environment Demonstrated ability to build resident rapport through empathetic listening and personalized interactions Skilled in schedule management, program development, and coordinating community events that foster a lively community atmosphere This role is an excellent opportunity for compassionate individuals passionate about enriching the lives of seniors through meaningful activities.
