Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic teams located both in inpatient rehabilitative settings and in home health environments. This role involves assessing patient needs, planning and implementing specific interventions, and evaluating patient progress to aid in recovery and rehabilitation from injury, illness, or disabilities. The successful candidate will customize interventions to improve the patient's ability to perform daily tasks and enhance their quality of life within our compassionate and supportive healthcare framework. Responsibilities Evaluate patient conditions regarding physical and basic mental health along with living skills and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop treatment plans that include achievable goals tailored to individual patient needs. Educate patients and family members on therapy techniques that can be continued at home. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, maintaining detailed and confidential records. Required Skills Expertise in therapeutic techniques and diagnosis management. Strong communication skills for effective patient and team interactions. Ability to operate and navigate various medical devices and equipment.
