Job Overview
SUNDAY TO THURSDAY 9AM TO 5PM
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Coordinator to energize and enrich the lives of residents in a senior living community. In this vital role, you will design, organize, and lead engaging recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and needs, fostering a vibrant and supportive environment. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help build meaningful connections, promote wellness, and enhance the overall quality of life for our residents. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while working alongside a dedicated team committed to exceptional senior care. Duties Develop and implement diverse activity programs that cater to residents' physical, emotional, and social needs, including memory care and dementia-friendly activities Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, fitness classes, arts and crafts, and recreational therapy sessions Build strong rapport with residents through personalized engagement and attentive communication Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during events or outings Manage scheduling of activities to ensure a balanced and inclusive calendar that promotes participation Collaborate with team members to assess individual resident preferences and develop tailored programs Maintain detailed records of activities, resident participation, and feedback to continuously improve programming Experience Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities or nursing homes, especially those specializing in geriatrics or memory care Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia support strategies, and senior care best practices Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in long-term care or home & community care settings Strong understanding of recreational therapy techniques and program development for geriatric populations Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster resident rapport and coordinate effectively with team members Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and communication purposes Leadership experience in team settings within senior living environments is highly desirable Join us in creating joyful moments that enhance our residents' lives! Pay:
