Life Enrichment Director / Activities Director | Harmony at Douglasville Harmony Senior Services , a certified Great Place To Work and one the country's fastest growing companies in the luxury senior living industry, is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to join the leadership team at its Harmony at Douglasville community. This community features Assisted Living and Memory Care resident settings and is an employer of choice in an area known for its rich history and culture. As the Life Enrichment Director , you will be responsible for developing and implementing meaningful activity and recreational programs for the entire community, including Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), and Memory Care (MC). The programs must embrace and fulfill the needs, as well as varied interests of the residents while promoting or enhancing physical and psychosocial wellbeing. Design of the programs will include social, sensory, physical, cognitive, reflective, nature, spiritual, activities and outings. The Life Enrichment Director shall manage volunteer recruitment efforts to create a robust volunteer program throughout the community. The Life Enrichment Director will oversee the transportation program for the community as well.
Requirements:
  • Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body, such as the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification or the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals; or has two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, one year of which was full‑time in a long-term care setting providing programs for seniors with Alzheimer's and other related Dementia • Certified Dementia Practitioner • Previous senior living experience Why Should You Apply?
