Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Coordinator to energize and enrich the lives of our residents through engaging, meaningful programs. In this vital role, you will develop, coordinate, and oversee a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and needs, fostering a vibrant community environment. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for seniors in our care. Duties Plan, organize, and execute diverse resident activities that promote socialization, cognitive engagement, and physical wellness Collaborate with staff to develop individualized activity plans that meet residents' unique needs, including those with dementia or memory care requirements Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, and special programs to enhance community involvement Build strong rapport with residents through personalized engagement and attentive communication Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during programs to ensure comfort and participation Manage scheduling of activities efficiently to maximize participation and resource utilization Maintain detailed records of activities, resident participation, and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness Qualifications Proven experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior activity coordination within assisted living or nursing home settings Strong understanding of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, geriatrics, and memory care principles Knowledge of long-term care practices, home & community care experience, and working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities Excellent communication skills for engaging residents, families, and team members effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for record keeping and program documentation Demonstrated ability to develop innovative programs that foster resident engagement and well-being Experience working with seniors in senior living facilities or similar environments is highly preferred Compassionate caregiving attitude with a focus on resident rapport building and aging issues counseling Join us in creating a lively community where seniors feel valued, connected, and inspired!
