In this role, you'll have the opportunity to create meaningful experiences, build relationships with residents and families, and develop activities that make each day more enjoyable, engaging, and fulfilling. As our Activities Director, you'll lead a dynamic activities program designed around the interests, preferences, abilities, and individual needs of our residents . You'll work closely with residents, families, nursing, and other team members to make sure our activities program supports the whole person—not just their schedule.

2080 S Telegraph Rd Bloomfield Hills, Michigan 48302 What You'll Do Create and manage a fun, diverse monthly activities calendar based on resident interests and suggestions. Meet with residents—including new residents—to learn about their hobbies, interests, and ideas. Plan and lead daily activities that encourage socialization, creativity, movement, learning, and enjoyment. Develop meaningful one-on-one and group activities that help residents stay connected and engaged. Organize exciting community outings such as shopping trips, shows, lunches, dinners, and other special events. Coordinate volunteers and build positive relationships within the community. Partner with nursing, families, and other departments to understand resident needs and create programs that support them. Encourage residents to participate while always respecting their individual choices and preferences. Keep residents informed about upcoming activities through announcements, bulletin boards, calendars, and personal invitations. Lead and support the Activities Assistant team, including scheduling and coordination through Paycor Scheduler. Manage department supplies and work responsibly within the activities budget. Maintain accurate activity records, assessments, attendance, and other required documentation. Ensure activities and documentation comply with company policies and applicable state and governmental regulations. Participate in team meetings, special events, committees, training, and continuing education. Help create a positive environment where residents feel welcomed, valued, and included. Follow the company's Always Behaviors and contribute to a culture centered around exceptional resident care and service. Perform other duties as needed to support our residents and community. Comfortable using computers and basic Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to safely operate a vehicle when transporting residents.
