Role Overview :

As a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, you'll provide essential services to restore, remediate, and rehabilitate patients¿ functioning and independence in daily activities. Your work will promote health, wellness, and reduce participation restrictions, directly impacting patients¿ quality of life. You'll support individuals referred for therapeutic recreation, playing a vital role in their recovery and well-being.

What You Will Do :

Provide therapeutic recreation services to restore and improve patients¿ functional independence. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote health and wellness. Reduce or eliminate activity and participation restrictions through evidence-based interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications What You Will Need :

Required Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Current National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification. BLS certification within 90 days of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications :

Clinical training and experience in a physical rehabilitation setting. Clinical experience in a behavioral health setting as a Recreation Therapist.
