Community Manager, Board of Directors and Vice President of Developer Services Position Summary The Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for creating, planning, promoting, and executing engaging programs, events, and activities that enrich the lives of residents and foster a strong sense of community. This role combines creativity, organization, leadership, and excellent customer service to deliver memorable experiences for residents at a 55+ new home community. The Lifestyle Coordinator's focus is to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, vendors, and staff to foster an enjoyable resident experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, outgoing, and passionate about bringing people together through exceptional programming and events. Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Coordination ~Develop and maintain an annual lifestyle and events calendar. ~ Plan, coordinate, and execute social events, holiday celebrations, educational seminars, fitness classes, entertainment, and community gatherings. ~ Coordinate all event logistics including scheduling, setup, decorations, entertainment, catering, transportation, and cleanup. ~ Manage event budgets while maximizing value and resident satisfaction. ~ Evaluate event success through attendance, feedback, and participation metrics. Resident Engagement ~Build positive relationships with residents and encourage participation in community activities. ~ Welcome new residents and introduce them to available programs and amenities. ~ Develop activities that appeal to a wide variety of interests, abilities, and age groups. ~ Identify opportunities to increase resident involvement and strengthen community connections. Marketing & Communications ~ Create monthly activity calendars, newsletters, flyers, digital signage, and social media content. ~ Promote upcoming events using multiple communication channels. ~ Maintain accurate event records, attendance reports, and photo documentation. ~Ensure all promotional materials reflect the community's brand and standards. Vendor & Community Relations ~ Develop relationships with local businesses, entertainers, instructors, sponsors, and community organizations. ~ Negotiate contracts and coordinate vendor services. ~Seek partnerships that enhance resident programming while remaining within budget. ~ Coordinate volunteer opportunities and community outreach initiatives. Budget & Administrative Duties ~ Prepare and manage departmental budgets. ~ Track expenses and process invoices. ~ Maintain inventory of event supplies and decorations. ~ Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures. Team Collaboration ~ Work closely with management and other departments to coordinate community events. ~ Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers or activity assistants when applicable. ~ Assist with special projects and community initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Education ~ Continued Education in Hospitality, Recreation, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. ~ Equivalent experience may be considered. Experience ~ 2-5 years of event planning, lifestyle programming, hospitality, recreation, or community engagement experience. ~ Experience in senior living, property management, hospitality, country clubs, or residential communities is preferred.
