Activities Director - Aspire Senior Living Pleasant Hill Full-Time Day Aspire Senior Living Pleasant Hill is a compassionate and resident-centered long-term care facility dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents. We are currently seeking a creative, energetic, and organized Activities Director to join our team and lead a vibrant recreational program for our residents.
Activities Director Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and implement engaging daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs that meet the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of residents. Develop a calendar of events including games, music, arts and crafts, outings, holiday events, religious services, and wellness activities. Work collaboratively with nursing, dietary, and other departments to promote participation and resident engagement. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and update care plans accordingly. Organize and oversee volunteer and community involvement. Ensure all activities comply with state and federal regulations for long-term care facilities.
Activities Director Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in recreation, social work, or a related field preferred. Must meet state requirements for Activity Director certification (or be willing to obtain within a specified timeframe). Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Creativity and passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
