Activities Director - Spring Oak Assisted Living Spring Oak \u007C Toms River, NJ Are you creative, compassionate, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors? Spring Oak is seeking an Activities Director to create a vibrant, engaging, and meaningful lifestyle for our residents in Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Independent Living.
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate a f un, diverse, resident-centered activities program seven days a week. Create programs that promote socialization, wellness, creativity, spirituality, and personal growth. Organize entertainment, outings, special events, holiday celebrations, intergenerational programs, and outdoor activities. Encourage residents to participate while respecting their individual interests, abilities, cultures, and backgrounds. Coordinate resident outings, volunteers, transportation, and other resident services Lead monthly Resident Council Meetings and maintain required documentation. Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the local community. Ensure activities promote dignity, independence, connection, and quality of life. Qualifications High school diploma required. Experience in activities, recreation, senior living, assisted living, memory care, or healthcare preferred. Creative, energetic, organized, and compassionate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with residents of varying abilities and needs. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and transportation as needed.
