A Recreational Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving movement, sports, games, and other activities for brain stimulation. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Recreational Art/ Music Therapist is an internal member of the interdisciplinary team who leads and participates in the assessment, treatment plan developmental and implementation of therapeutic group interventions. The Therapist will work with assigned patients in group setting as per the patient's MTP and ensure therapeutic interventions provided aid to their Mental health and substance abuse recovery.
