Activities Director Alorah Healthcare Las Vegas, NV Job Details Full-time $24.13 - $29.06 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Computer operation Long term care experience Calendar management Recruiting Budgeting Full Job Description Alorah Healthcare, a new skilled nursing facility in Las Vegas, is seeking an experienced and motivated Activities Director to build and lead our Activities Department from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can create structure, develop resident-centered programming, establish compliant processes, and prepare the department for successful operations and regulatory survey. Key Responsibilities Build and organize the Activities Department from initial setup through full operation. Develop and manage engaging individual, group, and facility-wide activities. Create monthly activity calendars based on resident interests, abilities, and needs. Establish department policies, procedures, forms, workflows, and documentation processes. Complete and maintain resident activity assessments, care planning documentation, participation records, and progress notes. Coordinate special events, entertainment, outings, volunteers, and community resources. Identify and manage departmental supplies, equipment, and budget needs. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise Activities staff as the facility grows. Collaborate with Nursing, Social Services, Rehabilitation, Dietary, and other departments. Prepare the Activities Department for initial survey and maintain ongoing survey readiness. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and facility requirements. Qualifications Previous Activities Director, Activities Manager, Recreation Director, or similar experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred . Knowledge of resident activities, care planning, documentation, and survey expectations. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and build systems and processes from the ground up. Comfortable using computers and technology, including Microsoft Office, email, electronic documentation systems, and other facility software. Able and willing to learn new software and technology used for resident care, documentation, scheduling, and departmental operations. Creative, dependable, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with seniors. Must meet applicable federal and Nevada requirements for the Activities Director position. Who We're Looking For We need a builder and a leader , not simply someone to maintain an existing activities calendar. The ideal candidate is comfortable stepping into a new facility, identifying what needs to be done, creating the necessary structure, and taking ownership of developing a successful and compliant Activities Department.
