DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will oversee the operation of the Enriched Housing program. Will be responsible for the development of the policies and procedures of the Enriched Housing program. Will be responsible for the operation of the Adult Home, for the application and implementation of established policies and procedures, and for liaison among staff and all departments of the facility. Ensure the sales processes are progressing in a meaningful way, including tracking phone calls, leads, and tours from prospective residents and families, as well as signing leases with new residents. Review and approve residents for admission after reviewing the needs of the resident and admit only those residents for whom safe and adequate care can be rendered. Will be responsible for the admission, transfer and discharge of residents. Will be responsible for the protection of residents' rights and development of appropriate mechanisms for the residents' protection. Will supervise all nursing staff and Department Heads employed by the facility. Will assist the RN/LPN with the completion of the facility schedule every two weeks. Will be responsible for the hiring and training of staff, and maintain documentation of such training in the employee file. Maintain a sales culture across all departments and all employees that extends across all shifts. Will organize functions of the facility through appropriate departmentalization and the delegation of duties. Will establish formal means of accountability for those to whom duties have been assigned. Will oversee new construction projects and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment of the facility as well as review physical conditions of the facility. Will assist with the facility budget with assistance from the Vice President of Sales. Will handle investigations and resolutions of resident and/or resident representative complaints. Will represent the facility and promote good public relations in all matters related to the Adult Home Enriched Housing program. Will be responsible for maintaining and making any changes with all requirements set forth by the New York State Department of Health. Will have knowledge of the Adult Home Enriched Housing program New York State Department of Health regulations. Will be responsible for consulting, supporting, and advising Vice President of Sales with issues relating to all operations of the Adult Home. Will meet with residents on an individual or group basis to listen to their concerns in order to maintain good resident relations at all times. Lead the Quality Assurance Committee quarterly. Will do the ordering of facility supplies. Will obtain and maintain certifications with Department of Health as an ACF/Enriched Housing program director. Will complete all New York State Department of Health surveys and the plan of correction in the Adult Home, with assistance from the Vice President of Senior Housing.
EDUCATION
A master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university plus one year of related work experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an approved course of study, plus three years of related experience acceptable to the department of which one must have been in a supervisory capacity. Approved courses of study may include, but need not be limited to, human services for dependent adults, health care management programs, social work programs, gerontological studies and home economics. Related work experience may include, but need not be limited to, work in residential care, rehabilitation, health care management and social work.
