Plan and oversee resident events such as social gatherings, outings, celebrations, and therapeutic activities that encourage participation and foster community spirit. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, histories, and individual needs to personalize activities effectively. Collaborate with caregiving staff, nursing teams, and family members to ensure activities align with residents' health plans and cognitive levels. Manage scheduling of daily activities, ensuring smooth operation and maximum resident engagement throughout the day. Maintain detailed records of participation, progress notes, and activity outcomes to support resident care plans. Utilize Microsoft Office tools to organize schedules, prepare reports, and communicate program updates clearly to team members. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a focus on senior or geriatric care. Strong background in event planning, recreational therapy, or program development within long-term care settings. Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, memory support programs, and aging issues counseling. Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with residents of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Demonstrated ability to build positive resident rapport while fostering an inclusive community atmosphere. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and communication purposes. Leadership skills to coordinate staff efforts and manage volunteer involvement in activities. Knowledge of senior living facility operations and home & community care practices is preferred.
