Activity Director The Mariemont Care Center - Cincinnati, OH The Mariemont Care Center is seeking an experienced and passionate Activity Director to lead and grow our activities program. This role is essential to resident quality of life and requires creativity, organization, and a genuine love for working with seniors.
Position Overview:
The Activity Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of our residents, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, schedule, and lead engaging daily, weekly, and monthly activities for residents Ensure activities meet the interests, abilities, and care plans of residents Complete required documentation and maintain compliance with regulations Coordinate special events, holidays, and community involvement Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers as applicable Collaborate with nursing, social services, and administration Maintain activity calendars and communication boards Manage the activities budget and supplies responsibly
Requirements:
Previous Activity Director experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting required Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to activities Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to lead groups and engage residents of varying abilities Must be reliable, creative, and resident-focused
