Responsible for managing resident lifestyle programs which include recreational, wellness, social, cultural, travel, education and entertainment that enrich the quality of life and enhance the vibrancy of the Pioneer Ridge Del Webb community. Responsibilities encompass program development and budgeting, facility scheduling, charter club and interest group administration, and overall Lifestyle Program development, promotion, and publicity. Ensures that all programs and services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Pioneer Ridge Homeowners Association (HOA).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, coordinates, and implements resident programs, classes and community-wide events and activities within approved budget constraints. Publicizes and promotes the programs, classes, and events offered to residents including the email distribution of a Weekly Update. Maintains electronic monthly calendar shared with Resident Services Director and Association Manager. Identifies and contracts instructors for fitness and exercise programs. Schedules, maintains, and monitors all programs and fitness classes. Works with various committees including Lifestyle Enhancement, Communications, Sunshine, Community Events, and others to create and promote community-wide events, classes, activities, and wellness programs. Composes a monthly column for the Pioneer Times and coordinates the development and distribution of the monthly Pioneer Times newsletter. Solicits vendors for the Marketplace Advertising Program for Pioneer Times and the home page, documenting tier levels and revenues. Manages the program to ensure subscribers are current on their payments. Plans and facilitates major outings (i.e. golf outing) and Lodge events (i.e. Vendor Showcase). Responsible for maintaining the Home Page of the Pioneer Ridge website which includes maintaining the information current and attractively displayed. Chairs the monthly Community Events Planning Committee meeting ensuring that activities and events are scheduled and chaired; assists in the implementation of the events. Works with residents to assist in the establishment of Charter Clubs. Assists homeowners, Charter Clubs, interest groups, and committees in the scheduling of HOA facilities. Assists residents with Multi-Purpose Room rentals. Supports an active volunteer program among residents. Promotes the program and arranges for recognition of those participating. Develops an annual Lifestyle budget in collaboration with the Finance Committee. Develops plans and budgets for specific events calculating expense and revenue based on past budgets, attendance, and venue capacity. Periodically conducts Resident Surveys to obtain feedback on past and future program offerings. Delivers a monthly report at the HOA Board meeting to include recent and future activities and programs. Works with area vendors and service providers to create promotional packages for residents to enhance their lifestyle. Networks in the greater community to build mutually beneficial relationships with local businesses. Acts as an ambassador of Pioneer Ridge identifying opportunities for partnering with local community leaders and government officials. Participates in the interviewing and hiring of part-time Front Desk staff. Performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate degree or three years of experience in hospitality, event planning, marketing or communication preferred. Experience with a homeowner association program or working with active adult programs desired. Experience developing, coordinating, and promoting activities, events or programs. Previous budgetary responsibility required. Excellent public speaking skills and the ability to confidently lead meetings and make presentations. Ability to consider other points of view, be receptive to ideas and suggestions of others and change own ideas as necessary. Working knowledge of computer systems including office software application, email, and the ability to learn RecDesk software application. Ability to become familiar with HOA policies and procedures and various processes and procedures. Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities and good written and verbal communication skills. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and change direction quickly. Strong organization skills with the ability to pay high attention to detail and able to meet required deadlines. Ability to interact with all types of individuals who possess a variety of personalities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to attend programs and events. Must possess a high level of energy, initiative, and enthusiasm. Position involves sitting, standing, and moving around the office and building. May perform light physical labor such as setting up chairs and tables for events. Periodically travels off site to purchase items for activities, events, and programs. Occasionally travels to Lawrence Management, the HOA's property management company, located in Avon.
