A Recreational Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving movement, sports, games, and other activities for brain stimulation. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description

Your Role As a full-time Rehab Tech in Wooster, Ohio, you'll support therapy services that help residents improve mobility, comfort, and daily function. This entry-level role exists to keep treatment sessions running smoothly and to ensure patients have the hands-on assistance they need.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting therapists during treatment sessions and transporting residents to/from therapy Preparing therapy areas, cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies Supporting safe transfers and basic therapeutic activities as directed Documenting assigned tasks and communicating observations to the therapy team Required qualifications/skills: Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Ability to follow directions and work well with a team Comfortable with physical activity, standing, and assisting with mobility If you're ready to start something meaningful in skilled nursing therapy, apply today. A Typical Day You'll arrive onsite, review the day's therapy schedule, and get treatment spaces ready before residents begin arriving. By day's end, you'll reset equipment, tidy the space, and leave things ready for the next morning.
