Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Part Time Activity Staff member, where your enthusiasm and creativity will bring joy and engagement to our residents. In this dynamic role, you will design and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to the interests and needs of seniors, including those with memory care requirements. Your positive energy will foster a welcoming environment, promote social interaction, and enhance residents' overall well-being. This position offers flexible hours, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. Responsibilities Organize, and lead engaging activities that cater to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including recreational therapy sessions and special events Assist activity director with coordinating resident events such as birthday celebrations, themed parties, and community outings Build strong rapport with residents through meaningful interactions and personalized engagement strategies Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility assistance and participation encouragement Collaborate with caregiving staff to develop individualized activity plans that promote cognitive stimulation and emotional well-being Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity feedback for continuous program improvement Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a positive experience for all involved Experience Prior experience working with seniors in assisted living or long-term care settings is highly preferred, but not required Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory support programs is preferred Experience in event planning or program development within senior living or community care environments is preferred Proven ability to build rapport with geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate activities and engage residents of diverse backgrounds Knowledge of aging issues geriatrics and working with individuals experiencing cognitive decline is a plus

$16.00 per hour
