Employee awards and recognition programs Opportunity to grow with an expanding company Job Summary The Director of Rehabilitative Services is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating & directing the Resident Activity Programs in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility and as directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the emotional, recreational, and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Compile and maintain current activity schedules; provide craft supplies, materials, library services, tapes, records & Braile reading materials. Ensure that necessary forms, charge slips, reports, and progress notes that contain informative descriptions if the services provided and the residents' responses to the services; participate in community planning. Development and implementation of activity programs, resident assessments and discharge planning to meet the needs of the facility, the residents and their families. Assist in the development, administration and coordination of departmental policies; review departmental policies at least yearly and make recommendations for changes. Keep abrest of current federal and state regulations, as well as processional Administrator. Interview resident/families as necessary and in a private setting. Develop, implement, and maintain ongoing quality assurance program for activity department. Ensure all charted activity progress notesare informative and descriptive of services provided and include resident's response to their services. Meets with activity personnel, on a regular basis, and solicits advice and input from interdepartmental supervisors concerning services provided. Required Skills & Qualifications Previous long-term care experience is desireable. 2 years experience as a Supervisor or long-term care Activity director pr revious work experience underr a Certified Activity Consultant. Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred. Post-secondary education in a related field is desireable. Computer knowledge is desireable. Must be in good physical and mental health.
