Job Description

YMCA Center Director Kennedale, TX Description The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA is seeking an energetic, community-focused leader to serve as the Center Director for our new Kennedale YMCA. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the grand opening of a brand-new YMCA and help establish the Y as an important part of the growing Kennedale community. The Center Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the approximately 10,000-square-foot Kennedale YMCA while also serving as a visible YMCA representative throughout the community. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys building relationships, developing staff, creating a welcoming environment, and supporting the growth of YMCA membership and programs. This position requires a leader who is equally comfortable managing daily facility operations and representing the YMCA at community events, schools, businesses, civic organizations, and other opportunities throughout Kennedale. A background in fitness, recreation, wellness, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience required; experience leading teams in a recreation, fitness, wellness, hospitality, nonprofit, membership, or community-based setting is preferred. A background in fitness, recreation, wellness, sports, or a related field is preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to recruit, supervise, motivate, and develop employees. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to build partnerships and comfortably represent the YMCA in community settings. Must be willing to maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends for YMCA and Kennedale community events. Must successfully complete all YMCA-required training, background screening, and abuse prevention requirements.
