Touchstone Communities is seeking a Certified Activity Director to lead engaging, person-centered life enrichment programs in our skilled nursing and long-term care community. In this role, you'll design and coordinate therapeutic and recreational activities that support residents' physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being. You'll assess resident interests, supervise activity staff and volunteers, maintain documentation, and collaborate with nursing, therapy, and families. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead person-centered activity programs that support residents' physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being Assess individual resident interests, abilities, and care plans to design appropriate therapeutic and recreational activities Coordinate daily, weekly, and special event calendars, ensuring regulatory compliance for activity programming Supervise and schedule activity staff and volunteers, providing training and support for quality resident engagement Document resident participation and progress; report observations to nursing and interdisciplinary care teams Collaborate with families and community partners to enhance resident involvement and social connections Ensure activity areas, supplies, and equipment are safe, clean, and appropriately maintained Support new resident orientation and transition with welcoming, engaging activities and introductions Participate in care plan meetings and quality improvement initiatives related to life enrichment Uphold Touchstone Communities' servant-leadership culture, faith-based values, and person-centered care standards Required Skills Activity program planning Therapeutic recreation Resident assessment and care planning Long-term care regulations and compliance Documentation and recordkeeping Staff supervision and scheduling Event coordination Behavior management and de-escalation Infection control practices Family and interdisciplinary team communication
