About us Preston Place is an Assisted living and CBRF in Redgranite. We have 40 residents that live independantly and 20 that live in our CBRF units.
Activities Director Duties:
  • Engage with residents and inspire them to be active and find things they like doing.
  • Plan, develop, and implement a activities program for residents in an assisted living facility.
  • Coordinate and schedule a variety of recreational therapy and memory care activities to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
  • Manage the activity budget, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately for various programs and events.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans for residents with specific needs.
  • Gardening skills would be a huge help as many residents love to grow flowers or vegetables during the summer, but need assistance.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working with seniors in a nursing home or assisted living setting.
  • Knowledge of aging issues, memory care, and dementia care techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with seniors who may have physical or cognitive limitations.
  • Ability to adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and interests of residents.
