We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our correctional healthcare team. This is a full-time, night shift position, requiring three 12-hour shifts per week.

Night Shift:

6:00 PM - 6:30 AM As a Registered Nurse in this unique setting, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care to incarcerated individuals. Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive medical care to inmates, including health screenings, treatments, and emergency response. Collaborate with healthcare team members and correctional staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility policies. Respond to medical emergencies promptly and take necessary actions to stabilize patients. Conduct patient assessments and report any changes in condition to healthcare providers. Assist with minor medical procedures and daily sick call triage. Participate in disaster preparedness and emergency planning. Enforce safety and security policies to create a secure environment for staff and inmates.

Qualifications:

Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama. Minimum of one year nursing experience, preferably in a correctional, public health, or acute care setting. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Willingness to undergo background checks required for working in a correctional facility.
