Clinic Supervisor Job Summary The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients in a clinical setting. This includes assisting with examinations and procedures, administering treatments and medications (including immunizations), performing basic diagnostic tests, collecting samples (e.g., blood, urine, stool), monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation. The nurse collaborates closely with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Additional responsibilities include providing education, information, and emotional support to patients and families, helping patients remain comfortable and cooperative during procedures, and working effectively in a team environment. The nurse may be cross trained in other positions as assigned and will work in the Chelsea and Sylacauga offices as needed. Current Nurse license in good standing with the Alabama Board of Nursing.

Preferred:

Six (6) months of pediatric experience and/or training. Cognitive skills as related to the position. Willing to attend continuing education courses at the request of the employer. Specific Skills Pediatric assessment skills, including age-appropriate vital sign monitoring. Accurate medication administration and dosage calculations tailored to children (including weight-based dosing). Immunization preparation, administration, and recording. Knowledge of emergency response and pediatric life support. Ability to collect patient samples (blood, urine, stool, etc.). Strong teamwork and collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children and families. Duties and Responsibilities Provides compassionate, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients from infants through adolescents. Consults and coordinates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Assists in making patients comfortable and cooperative during examinations, procedures, and treatments. Performs physical assessments, medical procedures, and diagnostic tests as ordered. Prepares, administers, and records ordered medications, immunizations, and treatments. Collects and processes patient specimens (e.g., blood, urine, stool). Provides education, guidance, and emotional support to patients' families regarding care, health conditions, and home management. Records all care information concisely, accurately, completely, and in a timely manner using the appropriate format and forms. Exercises utmost confidentiality, privacy protocols, and adherence to clinic policies, HIPAA requirements, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Works collaboratively in a team environment and supports cross-training or additional duties as assigned by the employer. Physical Demands Frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 30 lbs. unassisted, including assisting patients as required. Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other biohazards. Exposure to unpleasant elements (e.g., bodily fluids, odors). Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and perform duties in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Hours Full time:

Monday-Friday 7:55am-5:00pm.

Seasonal Saturday clinic hours:

8:55am-12:00pm (Chelsea clinic only).
