1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring an AR or compact license and 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Details 170-bed acute care hospital in Russellville, AR Inpatient Medical Surgical unit Adult and geriatric patient population Patient ratios of 6-7:1 Uses Meditech EHR 12-hour night shift schedule (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM) Every other weekend required Occasional low census call, typically not affecting travelers, no more than once monthly Floating required to all med/surg floors Requirements Active AR or compact RN license required Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA certifications required) 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required Additional Information Assess, plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for assigned patients throughout the shift Supervise and assign patient care duties to LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and Unit Coordinators based on acuity and staff proficiency Administer medications and treatments including IV meds, blood products, and chemotherapy Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency and life-threatening situations Orientation occurs every two weeks Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for travel positions Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
