Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
Shadow and assist licensed nursing staff with: Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best plan of care for each resident.Gaining knowledge about the care of all residents under your responsibility.
Conducting rounds to ensure Care Plans are followed and residents receive optimal care.
Helping with writing and updating resident assessments and care plans, while learning about the MDS and Quality Indicators.
Taking note of all physician orders (verbal and written) and acting accordingly.
Assisting with appointment scheduling by notifying the Unit Clerk of physician orders.
Documenting thoroughly and accurately, including nurse charting, MDS, Medicare, and lab/diagnostic results.
Completing assigned MDS assessments and ensuring an accurate shift report for the oncoming nurse. Take pride in the accuracy and quality of your work. Scan central supply items for each resident, ensuring proper inventory management. Report any errors to the
