Job Description

Epic Special Education Staffing seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support students' health needs in school-based settings. In this role, you'll provide direct nursing care, medication administration, chronic condition management, and emergency response while collaborating with educators, families, and IEP/504 teams. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students in school settings, including health assessments and routine treatments Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and district policies Monitor and manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and seizure disorders Respond to health emergencies, provide first aid, and coordinate care with families and community providers Support IEP/504 teams with health-related input and documentation Maintain accurate, confidential health records and comply with school, state, and federal regulations Educate students and staff on health, safety, and infection control practices Collaborate with Epic Special Education Staffing clinical team for guidance, training, and professional growth opportunities Required Skills Student health assessment Medication administration Care planning and documentation Tracheostomy and G-tube care (as applicable) Chronic condition management (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures) Infection control and universal precautions Emergency response and first aid Collaboration with IEP/504 teams Electronic health record/charting Family and staff health education
