Opened in 2026, the DOU is a 36-bed, all-private room unit that provides a blended level of care for telemetry and stepdown patients. The unit specializes in caring for cardiac, pulmonary, and medical telemetry patients, as well as patients requiring stepdown-level care. Focused on quality outcomes and an outstanding patient experience, this unit is ideal for nurses committed to excellence. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of telemetry experience. We invite you to join our team of Registered Nurses, who are responsible for delivering direct patient care within the scope of their practice. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, implementation of the plan of care, and evaluation of patient progress toward expected outcomes. Guided by a commitment to quality, patient- and family-centered care, the RN assumes primary responsibility for coordinating care delivered by the Care Team under their supervision. In collaboration with other members of the patient care team, the RN helps ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient. This is a Full Time (72 hours per pay period), 12-Hour Night Shift, position located at Scripps Memorial Encinitas. This is not a Med Surg Unit. #LI-JS1 New Hire and Relocation Incentive eligible.
