Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to determine individualized care needs. Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following strict aseptic techniques and medical protocols. Perform specialized procedures such as wound care, ostomy care, catheterization, and medication management with precision and confidence. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Axxess or EPIC to document patient progress accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide education on disease management, medication administration, and safety to patients and their families to promote self-care. Engage in triage activities to prioritize urgent cases such as acute pain episodes or critical trauma situations requiring immediate intervention. Maintain sterile processing standards during specimen collection/processing and laboratory procedures while adhering to infection control protocols. Experience Valid RN license with current state registration; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Proven experience working in home health settings or medical-surgical units demonstrating strong patient assessment skills. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Axxess for accurate documentation and medical records management. Background in diverse specialties such as geriatrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, skilled nursing facility or trauma medicine is highly valued. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical practice.
