Job Description
Job Summary We are a new Pediatric urgent care seeking a friendly and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatric team. In this vital role, you will utilize your advanced nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, ensuring comprehensive care that promotes health and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while working in a collaborative and innovative environment. Must have at least 2 years experience. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine healthcare needs. Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Perform minor procedures for injuries and other common treatments for minors. Manage conditions including pain management, infectious disease care, pediatrics, and limited emergency medicine. Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Athena Health for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records. Coordinate with specialistist as needed to optimize patient outcomes. Provide health coaching and education tailored to individual patient needs. Requirements Must have at least 2 years experience. Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in California. Demonstrated experience with EMR/EHR systems such asr Athena health. Proficiency in performing clinical procedures in Pediatrics. Basic knowledge of healthcare diagnosis coding systems such as ICD-10/ICD-9 and CPT coding for billing purposes. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Ability to work in fast-paced environments such as urgent care settings or outpatient clinics with telehealth experience considered a plus. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. We offer full and part time opportunities and are open 7 days a week.
Pay:
$80.00 - $90.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per weekBenefits:
