Job Description
Job Overview Job Summary We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide skilled nursing services to clients in Rio Vista, Vacaville, Suisun City, and Fairfield, California. We are specifically looking for RNs with experience in Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), IV antibiotic therapy, insulin administration, and medication management. The RN will provide safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with physician orders, the client's plan of care, agency policies, and applicable nursing standards. Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) as ordered
- Administer IV antibiotics and other prescribed IV medications
- Perform appropriate IV and central-line care within RN scope and competency
- Administer insulin and other prescribed medications
- Monitor blood glucose as ordered and document results
- Assess clients before, during, and after treatments
- Monitor vital signs and changes in the client's condition
- Recognize and promptly report adverse reactions, complications, or significant changes in condition
- Follow infection-control and medication-safety procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
- Communicate with physicians, healthcare providers, families, and the care team as appropriate
- Provide client and caregiver education related to medications, treatments, and prescribed care
- Follow the client's individualized plan of care and physician orders Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with TPN administration
- Experience with IV antibiotic therapy
- Experience with insulin administration and blood glucose monitoring
- Knowledge of IV/central-line care and infection-prevention practices
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in an in-home or community setting
- Reliable transportation
- Must meet all applicable background and employment requirements Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:
- Home health or private-duty nursing
- Infusion nursing
- PICC or central-line care
- TPN therapy
- IV medication administration
- Diabetes management
- Complex medical or developmental-disability care Service Areas We are currently hiring RNs to serve clients in:
