• Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal LVN will possess a strong commitment to patient care and a desire to work in various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. This role requires proficiency in medical documentation, patient assessment, and a variety of nursing skills to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes.

KNOWLEDGE OF KINNSER

•Responsibilities Provide direct patient care as defined in the State Nurse Practice Act under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Conduct patient assessments and implements plan of care initiated by the registered nurse. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Assists the registered nurse or physician in performing specialized procedures and duties, which include preparing equipment and materials for treatments, observing aseptic technique as required, and assisting the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques. Coordination of home health services, appropriately reporting the identified needs for other disciplines (HHA, OT, PT, MSW, ST, Dietician) to the registered nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor/Nursing Supervisor. Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge care. Practices infection control measures and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients. Experience Candidates should have experience or familiarity with a variety of nursing environments.

Preferred qualifications include:

Proficiency in wound care, IV insertion, PICC lines, medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic life support techniques. Ideal candidates will also have exposure to specialized areas such as home health care, hospice care, pain management, and geriatrics. A commitment to ongoing professional development is essential to succeed in this role. Medical office experience with knowledge of Kinnser EMR/EHR system. Critical care experience, including ICU or emergency room settings. Long-term care experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.

Pay:

$40.00 - $60.00 per hour
