Salary:

Range:

$59,569- $105,541 annually for nurses new to the District, based on education and experience. Salary for current District employees based on current placement on the salary schedule. Comprehensive health, dental, vision and family benefits, including employee life insurance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) Current and valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license California School Nurse Credential or eligibility and willingness to obtain the credential within five (5) years of employment CPR/First Aid certification Experience working with children and/or students in a school, pediatric, or community health setting is desirable Ability to work with students with varied disabilities

Duties:

Conduct mandated student vision and hearing screenings and follow up on identified concerns Develop, implement, and monitor individualized student health care plans Attend Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings, as appropriate, to provide health-related information and recommendations Maintain accurate health records and provide required documentation to support the district's Medi-Cal billing program Obtain, review, and clarify physician orders and other health-related documentation as needed Train and provide ongoing support to Health Care Aides in first aid, and specialized health care procedures Perform and/or supervise specialized health care procedures in accordance with physician orders and applicable regulations Collaborate with students, families, teachers, administrators, health care providers, and other school personnel to address student health needs Provide health education, consultation, and guidance to students and staff as appropriate Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and District policies governing student health services Perform other related duties as assigned 2627-39 September 17, 2026 Inside candidates may request transfer application information or a Change of Assignment form from Mignon Stevenson in the Certificated Personnel Office at 259-0033, ext. 282.
