The role involves providing comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, managing routine and high-risk pregnancies, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health, perform tests, educate patients, and support labor progression. Assist with deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean, and provide immediate newborn care and resuscitation. Monitor postpartum recovery, support breastfeeding, and educate families. Accurately document all care, communicate with team and patients, and follow safety protocols. Respond to emergencies, recognize complications, and administer appropriate interventions. Advocate for patients, ensuring informed decision-making and supporting their needs. The position is 36 hours/week, night shifts, with pay based on shifts and a tax-free stipend.
