School Nurse (0.75 FTE) Join a supportive school culture with small student-to-staff ratios in a beautiful mountain setting. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package with a school-year schedule and exceptional outdoor recreation opportunities. Hinsdale County School District RE-1 is seeking a compassionate, student-centered Registered Nurse to serve as our 0.75 FTE School Nurse beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
Salary Range:
$35,000-$45,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience, plus benefits. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing Current Colorado Registered Nurse License required Current Colorado Professional Special Services License (or ability to obtain) Application Requirements Please submit: Letter of Interest Resume District Application Form (www.lakecityschool.org) Copies of transcripts, licenses and certifications Three professional references (contact information required; letters of recommendation welcome) Essential Duties & Responsibilities The School Nurse coordinates the school health program, providing direct care, triage, and medication supervision. Key duties include developing student healthcare plans, conducting health screenings and assessments (Special Education/504), managing immunization compliance, health education, and leading staff development on infection control and wellness policies.
