2996661458-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Hartford Healthcare seeks a Pediatric Hospitalist / Newborn Nursery physician to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to infants and children in our hospital setting. Responsibilities include newborn admissions, daily rounds, high-risk delivery attendance, and coordination of care with a multidisciplinary team. You will educate families, support residents and APPs, and participate in quality and safety initiatives. Responsibilities Provide inpatient pediatric and newborn nursery care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges Stabilize and manage acutely ill infants and children in collaboration with subspecialists Attend high risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal resuscitation when needed Develop and oversee evidence based treatment plans, orders, and follow up care Communicate clearly with families, providing education and compassionate support Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, coordinated transitions of care Document clinical encounters, orders, and discharge summaries in the EMR accurately and timely Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and clinical protocols Supervise and teach residents, students, and advanced practice providers Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required licensure and certifications Required Skills Inpatient pediatric medicine Newborn nursery care Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) High-risk delivery attendance Clinical decision-making and diagnostic reasoning Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Care coordination and discharge planning Family counseling and education Quality improvement and patient safety
