1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Psychiatric RN for a Behavioral Health unit, requiring CT/compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of behavioral health experience. Details Behavioral Health unit within a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 depending on acuity Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM Occasional weekend coverage, primarily Monday through Friday schedule No floating required No on-call requirements Uses Meditech charting system Requirements Active CT or compact RN license BLS certification required De-escalation certification preferred, with training offered if not already certified Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health/Psychiatry experience required Recent experience in LTC, SNF, or Assisted Living settings preferred Experience caring for patients with anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders, and trauma-related disorders preferred Experience in child/adolescent, eating disorder, forensic, geriatric, inpatient, locked unit, and medical/psych treatment settings preferred Additional Information Provide direct nursing care to patients within a behavioral health setting Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius Housing may be available for local candidates if applicable First-time travelers are welcome to apply
