7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Weekend & Holiday commitment Newark, DE The ChristianaCare Postpartum Unit (6M/7M) is a 72-bed inpatient unit that cares for postpartum patients and their stable newborns in the Women's and Children's Building on the Newark campus. The average length of stay is 2-3 days post birth and the unit supports rooming in and family centered care. A couplet care model is utilized so that an RN will be assigned both the delivered parent as well as the newborn as a portion of their overall assignment. A nursery is maintained primarily for emergency management or for short term convalescent care. Postpartum staff also support the care of newborns in our substance withdrawal program.

Education and Experience Requirements:

BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire Experience in women's & children's services preferred Two years of Acute Care experience strongly preferred Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware BLS certification required NRP preferred or must be obtained upon hire The following professional certifications are recognized and encouraged in this patient care area include:

RNC-MNN, RNC-OB

Hourly Pay Range:

$42.11 - $67.37 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
