Job Description

Outpatient Registered Nurse at Fresenius Medical Care delivering life-sustaining dialysis therapy to adult patients with chronic kidney disease. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, manage vascular access and dialysis machines, administer IV medications, and closely monitor patients throughout treatment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality outpatient dialysis treatments per physician orders and company protocols Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in condition Manage and troubleshoot vascular access, dialysis machines, and related equipment Administer IV medications and maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation Educate patients and families on kidney disease, treatment options, diet, and home care Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and technicians on individualized care plans Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards in a highly regulated setting Participate in continuous quality improvement, training, and competency development Support patient transitions between in-center and home therapies as appropriate Required Skills Hemodialysis treatment administration Peritoneal dialysis knowledge Patient assessment and triage Vascular access management IV therapy and medication administration Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Infection control and safety protocols Care planning for
