RN Registered Nurse LDRP

Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN to join our LDRP unit, providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. In this role, you'll assess, plan, and implement evidence-based nursing care, monitor fetal and maternal status, support breastfeeding and newborn care, and educate families. You'll collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, respond to obstetric emergencies, and maintain accurate EHR documentation. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum Continuously assess maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes Perform newborn assessments and support immediate and ongoing newborn care Administer medications and therapies in accordance with provider orders and protocols Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHRCollaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care Participate in and respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies following established protocols Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards in the LDRP setting Support a compassionate, patient-centered environment aligned with HCA Healthcare values Required Skills Labor and delivery care Postpartum care Newborn assessment Electronic fetal monitoring IV medication administration Patient and family education Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Emergency response in obstetrics Interdisciplinary care coordination Infection control procedures
