Staff Development Coordinator/Staff Educator Job Description:

Plan, organize, and implement skills training programs/in-services for clinical staff and other departments; Perform orientation classes Develop educational strategies to facilitate quality improvement efforts Coordinate with and utilize community resources in meeting educational and staffing needs Oversee the process for competency evaluation of new employees Recommend progression to permanent employment or extension of orientation/probationary period for new employees Work closely with HR regarding hiring process and new employee files. Serves as designated associate responsible for monitoring Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC Serves as the on-site IPC for

COVID-19

prevention and response activities, in accordance with current CDC recommendations Maintains a current knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practices Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Infection Prevention and Control Program Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc. Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information

Staff Development Coordinator/Staff Educator Requirements/Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Registered Professional Nurse's license in the State of Florida Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and mature judgments. Prior Staff Development/Education experience Preferred. Point Click care preferred
