Position Summary Deliver care to patients under the direction/delegation of the Registered Nurse or licensed nurse assigned by the RN, as needed, and must be able to perform satisfactorily the specific patient care skills as outlined by the facility and the department(s). Must effectively interact with patients, families and other health team members. Must report pertinent information to the RN or licensed nurse assigned by the RN, as needed, and respond to requests for information in a timely manner. Assist with tasks to support patient care. Standard Work:
Nurse Intern III (PRN)
  • Performs activities of daily living as delegated by the RN
  • Provides for patient safety, quality, privacy and comfort through intentional/hourly rounding following standard work processes
  • Immediately communicates any changes in patient condition or behavior to RN.
  • Accurate and timely documentation/communication of vital signs, intake and output, weights.
  • Role models our Promises in every interaction with patients, families and team members.
  • Adheres to HIPPA standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Performs insertion and removal of peripheral IVs including documentation in EMR as delegated by the RN
  • Performs insertion and removal of urinary catheters including documentation in EMR as delegated by the RN
  • Performs insertion of urinary straight catheters as delegated by the RN
