Job Description

As RN Trauma Program Director at HCA Healthcare, you will lead the trauma program to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely care for injured patients. You will oversee trauma operations, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and drive evidence-based practice, performance improvement, and regulatory readiness for trauma designation/verification. Responsibilities include managing trauma registry data, developing policies and education, collaborating with physicians and nursing leaders, and mentoring staff. Responsibilities Lead and manage the trauma program, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered trauma care. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across nursing, physicians, and ancillary services for seamless trauma care delivery. Oversee trauma registry data collection, analysis, and reporting to drive performance improvement. Ensure ongoing compliance with trauma center verification/designation standards and regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and update trauma care policies, protocols, and evidence-based clinical guidelines. Plan and deliver trauma-related education and training for nurses and clinical staff. Monitor key quality metrics, identify trends, and lead performance improvement initiatives. Collaborate with hospital leadership on resource allocation, budgeting, and staffing for trauma services. Serve as a clinical mentor and role model for trauma nursing practice and professional development. Engage in community outreach and injury prevention initiatives as appropriate.
