Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse and make a meaningful difference in patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing services, coordinate patient assessments, and deliver compassionate support to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Your expertise will help ensure safe, effective, and personalized care while adhering to the highest standards of medical practice. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment committed to excellence and innovation. Shifts are 12 hours and run from 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management. Perform specialized procedures such as catheterization, ostomy care, and tube feeding with precision and aseptic technique. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) system Point Click Care system to document patient information thoroughly and maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in acute care, long-term care, hospice, or behavioral health settings. Manage emergency situations by applying critical care response procedures, airway management, and trauma medicine protocols. Coordinate discharge planning, patient education, and follow-up care to ensure seamless transitions across healthcare settings such as hospital medicine or home & community care. Oversite of CNA and patient care in the performance of ADLs. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures. Skilled in using EMR/EHR systems such as Point Click Care or similar platforms for accurate documentation and medical records management. Expertise in critical care environments including ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; experience with trauma medicine or emergency medicine is highly valued. Proficiency in advanced nursing techniques such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations like sonography or laboratory specimen collection/processing when applicable. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with strong communication abilities for triage, health coaching, family planning education, and discharge instructions.
