Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by providing exceptional care in a dynamic progressive care environment. This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with experience in stepdown or progressive care units, seeking an engaging contract assignment.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license, in good standing Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or similar acute care setting Proficient with cardiac monitoring, titration of drips, and care of patients with complex medical needs Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Current BLS and ACLS certifications Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units Perform thorough nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, and rapidly identify any changes in patient condition Administer medications and intravenous drips, including titrating according to protocol Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the recovery process Accurately document all care activities and coordinate with physicians and support staff Maintain adherence to all safety and infection control protocols
