Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise across various specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient services. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, performing assessments, administering medications and treatments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and NCQA. The Nurse will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation. Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic technique and medication protocols. There is a need for constant supervision and assistance with all ADL's and transfers and hands-on assistance when ambulating due to total blindness. Observe for seizure activity daily and provide any assistance. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection. Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings like ICU, PICU, outpatient clinics. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics including nutrition, family planning, medication administration, and disease management. Ensure infection control practices are followed meticulously to prevent infectious disease transmission. Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and ICD coding practices (ICD-9/ICD-10). Requirements Valid nursing license in the state of practice with current CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support). Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including CPT coding), and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care across age groups including pediatrics (neonatal to toddler), geriatrics (memory & dementia care), and patients with disabilities or developmental challenges. Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterile processing standards is essential.
