About the Patient We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide weekly in-home skilled nursing care for a pediatric patient with complex medical needs, including: Spina bifida with hydrocephalus VP shunt Chiari II malformation Epilepsy/seizure disorder Type 2 diabetes Neurogenic bladder with urostomy Developmental delay Wheelchair dependence The patient's records document ongoing seizure management with Keppra and rescue Valtoco, as well as neurogenic bladder/urostomy and diabetes management needs. Responsibilities Complete weekly skilled nursing assessment Monitor neurological and seizure status Monitor for VP shunt complications Assess urostomy and surrounding skin Monitor diabetes and blood glucose as ordered Review medications and treatment compliance Assess skin, bowel/bladder status, and overall condition Provide caregiver education Document care according to agency and Medicaid/GAPP requirements Communicate changes in condition to the care team Qualifications Active Georgia RN license Current CPR/BLS certification Pediatric or home-health experience preferred Comfortable caring for medically complex pediatric patients Reliable transportation Ability to complete required background screening and onboarding Schedule This is a low-hour, ongoing case for approximately 4 hours per week , making it a great opportunity for an RN looking to supplement an existing work schedule.
